The Cybersecurity Tutorial Series is a great way to experiment with some basic concepts, using micro:bit modules and the Python language. Some tutorials require just one micro:bit module, some require two, and advanced projects may require a cyber:bot robot. Each tutorial’s first page lists prerequisites, hardware required, and which tutorials follow.
This series is great on its own or as a companion to the cyber:bot robotics series, or the electronics & pre-engineering lessons that go with the What’s a Microcontroller? with Python and micro:bit series.
Teachers may request access to guides and assessment materials for these tutorials by emailing education@parallax.com.
These exploratory tutorials were created with support from CYBER.ORG, the academic initiative of the Cyber Innovation Center. See their Cybersecurity curriculum for high school for a year-long technical course that uses different hardware.
